Alexander Wang, a NYC-based contemporary fashion brand, redefines modern luxury and streetwear. During my two years with the brand, I was at the heart of its creative and production journey on the footwear team, transforming visionary designs into standout collections.
On the creative side, I collaborated closely with the design team to translate Alexander Wang’s aesthetic into reality. This involved conducting in-depth market research, analyzing trends, and benchmarking competitors to ensure our collections stayed ahead of the curve. Partnering with suppliers and internal teams, I played a key role in developing prototypes that upheld the brand’s iconic style and uncompromising standards.
In production, I served as the critical link between Alexander Wang and its overseas vendors, managing the commercialization process with a meticulous focus on quality and precision. From overseeing production calendars to tracking inventory and conducting cost analysis, I ensured every product launch was seamless, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining the brand’s high standards.
Beyond development and production, I embraced opportunities to collaborate with the PR and Marketing teams, contributing to lookbooks, campaign shoots, and the brand’s visual storytelling. I also supported celebrity dressing and PR gifting initiatives that elevated Alexander Wang’s global presence. During market week, I prepared detailed seasonal reports, providing insights that informed future product strategies and ensured Alexander Wang’s collections remained at the forefront of the fashion industry.
One of the standout moments during my time at Alexander Wang was contributing to the Prefall/Fall 2023 Runway Show. From coordinating model castings to styling looks and overseeing backstage operations, I was fully immersed in the fast-paced energy of the event. It was an incredible experience that deepened my appreciation for the behind-the-scenes artistry that drives the fashion world.
